Don't be fooled: the war with Iran is going very excellently indeed
The Regime has been humiliated, castrated and deprived of its means to cause mischief. Israel and America are well on the way to victory.

The conflict with Iran has understandably left many people worried. (Not least that moral Goliath Sir Keir Starmer, who has done all he can to distance Britain from the hostilities in the hope that Iran won’t attack us, too.) Partly, this is because of our collective memories of failed military interventions in places like Libya and Iraq, where ham-fisted attempts at “regime change” led to a bloody quagmire, the multiplication of jihadism, migration crises and regional and global instability.
To anybody suffering from such concerns, however, I have one message: Don’t panic, Mr Mainwaring! The war may not be over yet, and it is true that we are likely to see attacks from the Iranians, probably on soft targets. In the bigger picture, however, it is all but certain that we are witnessing the beginning of the end of any meaningful threats from the contemptible Iranian regime and all the bloodshed and instability that has come with it.
The problem is, it hasn’t always been presented that way to the public. Much of the media has been either glossing over basic and verifiable facts or undermining them with unwarranted cynicism. As a result, an impression is conjured of a weakened and vulnerable Israel, supported by an impulsive Donald Trump, recklessly tweaking the tail of the Iranian beast in a way that could provoke a backlash that endangers us all. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The war is going excellently.
