I have never felt ashamed to British, and cannot do so now. But I am ashamed that my fellow citizens elected such a craven government.

Their reason for recognising that which does not exist is simple enough: to placate the two distinct, though allied, groups of antisemites upon whom the Labour Party now depends.

Sickened to the stomach and so deeply ashamed of this despicable man and his government. Everything he has said and done is rotten to the core culminating in today. But behind all this, he has today unequivocally turned the UK into a lackey of Qatar all part of their plan to isolate and ultimately destroy Israel. It is I believe, no coincidence Macron and Carney acted in concert with Starmer to give this evil act greater heft, uncaring at all, of the tortured hostages and 7/10. Weasel words are meaningless. There will never be a two state solution as everyone knows. But recognition of Palestine is the first step to what they really intend. The Qatari/Iranian plan to destroy Israel has been under way for years and I imagine the Qataris are today rubbing their hands with glee as are their Iranian partners and Hamas their henchmen at the fools that are now theirs in the West. This will all be trumpeted loud and clear tomorrow at the UN as Jews globally begin the Holiest days in their calendar. No coincidence either as history tragically demonstrates.

Great article, although I'm not sure what the manager of Rymans in St Albans has ever done to deserve such a comparison to our disaster of a Prime Minister!

Joking aside, I have spent the morning looking at properties for sale in Israel

I watched a documentary a few days ago called “My Grandfather’s War”, which in this case featured the wartime stories of two of Helena Bonham Carters grandparents, her maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother. Her grandfather was a Spanish Jewish diplomat who, while in Bordeaux in 1940, against his country’s ordered signed hundreds of transit visa’s to allow Jewish refugees to escape France and travel to Portugal.

Her grandmother was a prominent Liberal politician, Violet Bonham Carter, the daughter of former Prime Minister Asquith. She was an outspoken opponent of both Appeasement and Nazi Germany, so much so the Gestapo had her on their black list, aka kill list, should they ever invade. She was responsible for reuniting at least one Jewish family whose parents had been separated when the mother and daughter was able to escape Czechoslovakia in the Kinder Transport.

I know the Labour Party are a pale reflection of what the Liberal Party was in those days but regardless it is a shame and disgrace that the country whose government once sponsored the Balfour Declaration should so throughly sink to such a disastrous position as this Starmer government has done.
